How It Started...

I began my career in finance, learning how to navigate markets and—maybe more importantly—how to explain them in plain English. I realized early on that the real skill wasn’t understanding the numbers; it was helping people feel comfortable with them.

 

Eventually, my curiosity (and sweet tooth) led me to co-own a boutique bakery. It was creative, exhausting, and deeply rewarding—and it taught me that running any successful business comes down to precision, timing, and client satisfaction. When my daughter was born, I wanted more flexibility, and real estate felt like the perfect blend of numbers, negotiation, and human connection. But once I stepped in, I noticed something: too many people were being told “no” when the real answer should have been “not yet.”​

 

So, I built Mortgage Up—a company rooted in education, creativity, and strategy. Because I don’t believe in gatekeeping homeownership. I believe in guiding people toward it.

 

How It’s Going...

Today, I help people buy, refinance, and invest with confidence. My background in finance gives me the tools to build smart strategies. My experience as a Realtor gives me the perspective to see the full picture. And my personality? Let’s just say I strive to be the best kind of friend, the one who’ll tell you the truth (and bring snacks to the meeting).

 

I’m tough when it matters, loyal always, and deeply invested in seeing my clients—and their families—thrive long after closing day. I don’t disappear after the deal. I stay in your corner as your goals evolve.

Based in Grandville, I primarily serve clients throughout Grand Rapids and West Michigan, but I’m licensed to originate mortgages anywhere in Michigan—and happy to connect you with trusted agents and lenders statewide.

Life Beyond the Numbers...

When I’m not reviewing loan applications or analyzing rates, you’ll find me outside in the garden, entertaining friends by the pool, or making cocktails that require way too much effort but are worth it.

I live in Grandville, a suburb of Grand Rapids in West Michigan, with my husband Zach, our daughter Eliana, two dogs, ten chickens, and a small pond full of koi who think they’re in charge.
